Palmarosa Natural Deodorant
3 tbsp coconut oil
3 tbsp shea butter
3 tbsp baking soda
15 tbsp arrowroot powder
50-60 drops palmarosa essential oil
Bring a pot of water to boil, and place a glass bowl on top to create a double boiler. Add the coconut oil and shea butter in the bowl and heat for 5-10 minutes, until both are completely melted. Remove bowl from the top of the pot and set on the table.
Add in the baking soda and 3-4 tbsp of the arrowroot powder and stir to combine. Add in the essential oil (adjusting the amount depending on the sensitivity of your skin) and mix together. Then start adding more arrowroot powder, mixing as you go, until the mixture starts turning white and pasty. This should be around 15 tablespoons altogether. The mixture should be soft but not runny at the end.
Pour into a glass jar of your choosing, preferably one with a lid, and let sit for 24 hours out of the sunlight to set. Your deodorant is now ready to use!
